Father’s Leg Warmers

So I asked my dad what he wanted  me to make him for Christmas this year different than a scarf that I made him a couple years back. He already had fingerless gloves so we went with legwarmers. I spent some time on Ravlry looking for patterns for Men’s legwarmers and found nothing. :< So I created my own pattern, it’s a simple 2×2 rib for the ankle and increasing for the start of the calf. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take my own measurements since we live in separate states so thank Google I found measurements for men’s socks that seems fairly accurate, I wasn’t quite sure what size to do so I ended up doing something between large and extra large and as you can see below it worked out pretty well. Oh and I should also add that the yarn I used was wound on my new ball winder, courtesy of dad! :D

Jewels

I have to say I’m quite proud of this piece, my first venture into decorating scarves. I used a simple 1×1 Rib about 6ft long and made flowers to decorate it. I was going to leave it at that however, I was walking through a craft store with a friend and saw two jeweled chains the perfect width for the scarf and wove it into the scarf right above the fringe.

The Twins

length: 5ft
fringe: 4in w/ pompoms

These were made for young twin girls and are complete with pompoms. All I had to go off of was pink and purple, I decided to keep the same style and pattern for the length of the scarf but decided on a light & dark shades of purple to give some variance while still color coordinating for when they’re together.
