Many have complimented my work on the Midsommarkrans – sleeveless top
by Lene Tøsti! So I thought I’d post something about it!

At the time of this post, the pattern is still available on Ravelry for free! It was a pleasure to make this and it is knit from the top of the shoulder down and is eventually joined in the round.

This is an intermediate-advanced and not for beginners as this used a provisional cast-on in order to have the sleeves stem from the tops of the shoulders down towards the front and back.

I do recall having some mind bending at the start of the pattern because I didn’t read the pattern in advance.. who even does that? :)

You start by working flat on the left front of the tank top and work the neckline with the lace edging. You’ll then repeat the process for the right side before joining them together. Eventually, you’ll repeat the left and right side process again for the back side of the garment and join everything in the round.

I ran out of the purple yarn, as expected, and worked in black yarn to have a two color tank top.

Would I knit this pattern again?: 100% yes
Would I recommend this pattern to a friend?: Yes!
Notes: When all is said and done, the front and the back are the same. So you don’t have to worry about it when you put it on! ;)
